Aims to make sense of an extraordinary ruin without building a monument to destruction or an historic reproduction. Created a new building from the remain of the old, a new building that neither celebrates nor hides it's history but includes it. The rejection of 3 approaches;
1. The buildings literal reconstruction- to visually simulate its original glory.
2. The ruin's monumentalisation - to preserve the buildings fabric in it's ruined condition as physical evidence of history.
3. A collage between the remaining fragments and the new parts.
